there is always some assembly on new units. usually only takes about 30 minutes on most. Wifes cousins husband is a Polaris tech. I know they usually charge at least double the amount of hours it takes him to fix stuff.

For the record, in Texas you don't have to pay sales tax on ATV/UTV's bought out of state. I did it a few months ago. Yes, I have title. No, I don't have an ag exemption.

If in doubt, call your local tax office.

        New 2014 Ranger 800
        $10,250 + $550 (shipping) + $42 (title charge at tax office) = $10,842 total.

As stated, if purchased in Texas, sales tax and title fees are assessed, unless you are tax exempt. Most places now require the farm tax number to get the exemption as well. Heck, not all that long ago, you didn't even need to provide a farm tax number.

Also as stated, shipping, freight and assembly fees are also standard at most dealerships. However, these are not mandatory charges like sales taxes, so they can be somewhat negotiable. I hate these fees as they are somewhat hidden until it comes time to draw up the paper work as they are not included in the original sticker price of the vehicle.

Yep, bought mine at Altus motor sports. Best price by far. This was several years ago I bought mine but if I need another one I will check with them again.
