Why do you hunt?

To feed my family. And love the outdoors. My kids ate venison three times this week!

X2! Also I enjoy the adventure of it. Whether just going to deer camp or hunting somewhere completely new. It is an escape.

Things like sitting out in the woods when first light is coming through the trees, the feeling of getting really close to an animal that has no idea you are just yards away, the excitement that completely overtakes you you just before you take the shot, the quite solitude of just being away from it all. I don't hunt for the trophy, or just to be kill something. I hunt for the feeling of being closer to nature and to the one who created it, and farther away from the all the useless "noise" in the world we live in today. Also gives me a sense of pride to put meat on the table that I killed, cleaned, and processed with my own hands, and for my children to understand that process when they get old enough.

Being in the great outdoors is #1. 2nd is man vs beast on the beast home field, very challenging!!!

I hunt because the combination of the following-

Time in the quiet outdoors away from medicine.

The amazing food I prepare from the satisfaction of harvesting my own animals.

The beautiful animals and hides on my walls and floors.

Because hunting is part of my soul. A way of life and a primal instinct of real man.
