It's all down hull from here as an El Nino starts to get established as we head deeper into fall. Winds switch back out of the South later Sunday pumping in moisture from the GOM. Also moisture will be streaming in from Ol Mexico from a tropical system and into Texas next week. With all this moisture floating around with a possible frontal boundary we could be in for a very wet period next week.

Now for significant cold, that could happen in a few weeks as the OP hinted at as the pattern is sitting up for a discharge of arctic air. Interesting times ahead.

High in the 70s and lows in the 50s for he next ten days forecast around Del Rio from weather channel... Not a cold front but I will take those kind of temps all fall long!!!
