Whatever you do, make sure the flashlight emits a white light. Some of them emit a yellowish light and that makes for tough blood trailing.

I been looking for a good light too. Have seen a Streamlight in use and wasn't all that impressed. Maybe not enough lumens?
How about the Barska BA12198 2000 Lumens ? Seems to be good bang for the price if they really put out said lumen power.

Just do yourself a huge favor and buy a stream light. Are they cheap? No but, like you said you are tired of using crap lights. There is a reason ALL first responders use them. They are super bright, last a long time, rechargeable, if you have any problems you can pick up or order parts. Look up GTdist.com for some good prices.

nitecore MH25. I've had one for a year or so and am very happy with it. can keep it low for long time use or kick it up to 960 lumen if you want to spotlight something. uses a USB charger that plugs directly into the light so you can charge it in your truck if you want without using any kind of cradle.

Also bought the Ultrafire E17 2000lumen adjustable. It came with two 18650 lithium batteries one of which was no good and will not charge. This light is slightly brighter than a 3D maglite.
Poor construction quality is typical Chinese, roose fit and all.
I don't exprect rhis frashright to eber give me my ten dolla wur of ruse.(my best chineee dialect)
Light is small and will fit in my pocket is about the only plus.
pic of light on and shining 2 feet from wall and pic with light off. Light pattern adjusts from wide flood to small square spot.
I cannot recommend this light.Last edited by muzzlebrake; 11-04-2014, 03:59 PM.
