Did You Know a Wounded Deer Will Attack You?

Yeah, neither did I. But, my county commissioner is concerned about it.

Lol I've never heard of such. I have seen a buck attack a glass door though. Broke the glass and almost hurt my grandma.

Things like this are what make me a libertarian. If a deer is on your land then it should be considered your deer and you should be able to do with it as you please.

You might want to check with Steve Slevin (Rotag). He was directly responsible for getting bow hunting legal in his sub division. It has really helped with the deer over population where he lives. They had to set up a place to have people shoot to prove proficiency, have a bowhunter's ed card etc. It was a lot of work on his part but he got it done.

Wow. Your county commissioner is a real "D" bag for sure. A wounded deer will "attack"?!?! Attack what??!! Funny how we elect morons in this country.

I did have to laugh about the topic being overpopulation and having a feeder in the backyard.

Ummm, I was charged by a wounded deer when I was about 3 years old. My dad put a quick bullet in it just before it reached me.

We had a dune buggy with no doors or sheet metal.

Dad shot a deer from blind.

We drive up on the deer and I jump out and start running to the deer laying there like several others we had killed in Llano County that season.

My dad made a shot right over me to knock the deer down or I would have been in a world of hurt.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it!

Technically, you charged the deer first.

My question is how did one of the most deer dense counties in the state get a commissioner that knows so little about deer?

As an aside, I have a hard time believing that Seabolt is full blooded Cherokee!

But what if it becomes legal to hunt on 10 acres and less? Jim shoots a deer in the guts and it runs onto some ole lady's lawn and dies?

His statement isn't as nuts as it sounds. I had this exact situation happen. I had to fend off a deer I mortally wounded with an arrow. He ducked his head and charged and I went Albert Pujols on him with a tree limb.

But I don't see that as a logical reason to prevent small plot archery hunting in comal cty.

I would rather have a wounded buck attack me than a ruttin buck attack me...

Sounds to me we need to ban all hunting.... as a safety issue of course. We cant have a bunch of wounded deer running around randomly attacking people.

If that were a concern tracking wounded deer would not be an issue just walk around till the deer comes and finds you.
