      He is absolutely wrong.

Tuned into this because I believe a more knowledgable person will disagree with this.... If you hunt in 3 different one buck counties you should be able to use 1 buck tag for each county OR if you hunt in one 2 buck county and a 1 buck county you should be able to use 2 in one county and the 3rd tag in a single buck county........ However I would highly reccommend you using some of those tags on those tasty does....

County line crosses my lease. I can take the max out of both sides till I run out of tags.

And that GW is wrong. Period

Not true if he is hunting an MLD ranch. Then it would be illegal to use tags from his license. But if he had 20 MLD buck tags he could legally kill 20 bucks in a one buck county.

Neither county is a "1 buck" county they are both AR counties. You can shoot 1 buck over 13" wide in each county and 1 spike in either county. Does Texas even have a 1 buck county anymore?

This is the way it used to be years ago.
When AR took effect in most counties, the rules changed.
There used to be tags that stated "only 2 buck county" and "only 3 buck county."
Look at your license, there are no such restrictions anymore.

I hunt in 2 different AR counties.
                        I can shoot a 13"+ deer in county A and I can shoot a 13"+ deer in county B.
I can then shoot an unbranched buck in either of those counties for a total of 3 bucks.
I can also substitute an unbranched buck for either or both of my 13"+ deer.
No more than 2 deer in either county, no more than 1 13"+ buck in either county, maximum of 3 buck deer all counties combined.

If I hunted in a 3rd AR county, I could shoot one legal buck in each county.

For crying out loud folks, just check the TPWD site.
You can kill 3 bucks in ANY County that has an open season: This is right from the web site: You can kill 1 buck in 1 buck counties, up to three bucks in 3 different counties.

                          Important Information about Tag Numbers
                          Tags #5 and #6:For white-tailed antlerless deer onlyTags #7, #8 and #9:For white-tailed buck or antlerless deer
Buck tags may be used in any county. However, lack of careful planning with tags #7, #8 and #9 may reduce the number of white-tailed buck deer you may lawfully take.

Read the tag use description on your license carefully before attaching to harvested deer.

                          Use on White-tailed Deer Only
Tag Number 5:White-tailed Deer - Antlerless ONLY Tag Number 6:White-tailed Deer - Antlerless ONLY Tag Number 7:White-tailed Deer - Buck or Antlerless Tag Number 8:White-tailed Deer - Buck or Antlerless Tag Number 9:White-tailed Deer - Buck or Antlerless
NOTE: The white-tailed deer tags on the license may be used in any county during an open season for white-tailed deer.

All three buck tags now say buck or antlerless. No longer does one tag say, valid only in a three buck county.

There is a reason there is a harvest log on your license and why they are sticklers that you fill it out. It's the only way to know if you didn't exceed the limit for the county; assuming you fill out your harvest log truthfully.

You get your tags, and when using those tags, your harvest log better adhere to the bag limits and dates allowed for the counties for which you harvest.
