Call or email TPWD in Austin.
You'd be surprised how often GWs don't understand the laws they are supposed to uphold.

If you hunt in 3 different one buck counties you should be able to use 1 buck tag for each county OR if you hunt in one 2 buck county and a 1 buck county you should be able to use 2 in one county and the 3rd tag in a single buck county........ However I would highly reccommend you using some of those tags on those tasty does....
You have 2 additional tags for those tasty does.
You can take a total of 5 deer without MLD if you hunt in multiple counties.

And then there are people who post comments irrelevant to the topic being discussed or the question that was asked.

Hunting in East Texas I can never see me having this issue, but I was under the impression you could kill only one 13"+ buck in all AR counties combined just as it used to be with one buck counties. I may be wrong but like I said, I doubt I will ever run in to this problem up here.

I can kill a 13+ buck in Hardin then kill another one in Polk. It's legal

The GW is wrong. As long as you are within the limit of the county you are hunting, then you can shoot a buck, as long as you still have at least 1 buck tag remaining. For example, one buck in each of 3 1-buck counties = 3 bucks total. 2 bucks in a 2-buck county, then another buck in a 1-, 2- or 3- buck county = 3 bucks total. Etc. The statewide limit is 3 bucks. So, you can only shoot 3 bucks in Texas, and each county has a limit of the number you can shoot in that county.

This was a law that was changed when they added the harvest log to the back of the hunting license. The harvest log is now the way they keep track of whether you are over the bag limit. It allows you to shoot more than 2 or 3 bucks in 2 or 3 different 1-buck counties.

Call that GW's district or regional office and ask his captain. If he tells you the same thing, keep going up the chain. I promise I am right on this one.

If I have a tag for a buck and I shoot that buck in a 1 buck county, that county is CLOSED. Time to move to ANY other county that has an open season for bucks.

                              just my .02

Oh let's talk about multiple red drum tags now!!!!

Funny. And about as useful as some of the answers . Not sure why people do that.
