        Man its like that all over grimes county right now. We are in bedias and we got alot of pics over the summer but now the deer even the does are few and far between. And none of the neighbors around us run feeders. There are just WAYYY too many acorns right now.

            You are in a very poor situation if you have numerous neighbors with ten acre plots. I do not know the deer density of your area but would not be surprised if the recommend cull rate for the herd is eight or ten deer per section. That would equate to about 1/6 of a deer per year per plot. I would consider getting access to a different property for hunting. I face a very similar problem at my place. I have 160 acres and the normal cull rate is about 1.5 deer per year for this size of property. Between me, my wife, three son in laws, and at least two or three other friends that want to hunt, my little plot simply does not produce enough deer to accomodate that much hunting pressure. I have to put restrictions in place that allow them the pleasure of a hunt but curtail the killing. If not, there would be no deer left to hunt.
