    If the wind isn't right...

Do you hunt the new spot at your lease? This will be your first sit ever there. Have previously hunted your other 2 spots hard and have not seen anything. You have a bag of buck nut and vanilla spray. You have smoked your clothes. You will be 20ft. Up.

Winds from the south at your back. You are over an old, grown up pipeline.

pretty spot for sure.... short answer... No i probably wouldnt...

Honestly, it depends on where the bedding area is, and their travel route. If I can bust them before they get to my scent stream, I might hunt a spot where the wind isn't just right.

"Hunt the wind" doesn't mean only hunt when the wind is perfect. Just that you have to be cognizant of it and adjust your plan accordingly. A good looking spot like that, I might try to set up on a trail or on the down wind side of it.

I'd hunt it. I don't pay any attention to the wind, I guess I'm just not that mad at them.

I would hunt it too, i play the wind as best I can but wind direction wont stop me from hunting if i want to hunt, especially since i have 5 popups that i can close all but 1 window in and make do

DON'T DO IT! Invariably a deer will circle into your zone. And they WILL remember. You say, well, what about the deer that circle behind you when the wind is right. Well, I try to have a bluff or creek or opening or some reason why the deer don't feel comfortable walking down wind of me. I know that's not possible a lot of times but my best spots all have that. And I won't mess up one of my best spots by looking down wind.
