What Is Wrong With People

On the way to work this morning had a truck break down in front me and was blocking the intersection and the road. Jumped out and told him I'd tow him to a good spot since it's dark. Guy next to me saw what was happening so he backed up and let me get around. Rather than folks wait two dang seconds. They try to get around, almost run me over and then have the nerve to blow the horn. If they'd waited one minute it would've been clear. I don't know what happened to folks doing the right thing helping others.

This exact thing happened to us in the fire truck one night. I was driving, my guys get out to push the truck out of the intersection. I turned on all the lights and my guys started pushing, as soon as the light turned green the cars beside me started going even though my guys were half way in the other lane by this point. I hit the gas and tried to hit the second car in line just to get them to stop. I missed and about 5 cars had to swerve into the other lane to keep from hitting them.

I once pulled my truck over and jumped out and helped a guy push his truck out of a intersection. No less than 20 other people just sat around and looked. The guy behind us had the nerve to pull right behind us and honk his horn!! I gave him the Hawaiian peace sign, he then proceeded to pull around and call me a bad name---I returned the favor. Some people are all about themselves.

Its the "time is money" disease. Everyone thinks their time is so valuable that losing a single second is a tragic loss, and they hate the person that caused that loss, regardless of the reason. It's why people get road rage, run red lights, cut in line, and so on.

I wish people would slow down in life. Everyone is constantly in a hurry, constantly connected to the world through their phones, and disconnected from life.

My time is valuable, but if I'm so concerned about "wasting" it that I can't enjoy it, what's the point? What's everyone in such a hurry for? To get home and veg out in front of the tv? So many people worry not about wasting time because it could be spent on something worthwhile, but how they're going to waste it instead

Nearly the same thing happened to me a couple years ago. A guy battery died at the light and I got out to help him move his car and once the light turnd green the horns started blowing. Sadly soon after the horns started blowing my finger started flying.
