You're correct that killing a timber rattler is illegal. Many, many Texans won't believe you if you tell them that it's illegal to kill a rattlesnake.

I've seems several posts on here of tbh'ers who pointlessly killed timber rattlers....weird things is tbh'ers will cover for them. Accidentally shoot a 12.999" buck and they get the rope strung up.

The Timber Rattle Snake is the most common rattle snake in South Carolina. They are not protected there.Comment
