did you see any wild hogs ?

they have been tearing up the marsh vegetation as the LA Dept WLF has been using helicopters to shoot em and minimize the population

no way hunters could reduce hog numbers in the marsh ...the Mosquitos , snakes, and alligators are bad enough and would kill a man

Nice! I bet your glad it's over! A lot of work goes into to those things. 10 footers this year were bringing $40 per foot.

Yes it is a lot of work. We had several between 9 and 10ft and a bunch between 8 and 9. An a 8 to 9 foot alligator is no punk either.

Nice! I have no clue about gator hunting so please inform me... Im all for killing/hunting but a hundred?! How many other people are able to catch that many? Seems like a quick way to deplete them. Im guessing they reproduce pretty quickly. Not bashing just curious

The state does a survey and decides how many tags to issue. Not everyone can just apply and get tags. Kind of like getting mld tags for deer. 100 tags is issued for about 7000 acres of land for their lease. The gators have no natural predators except another gator or man once they reach a certain size. 100 tags is actually on the lower end, there are several people who get a couple hundred every year. It is closely regulated and not a free for all by any means. This is the best way I can explain it. Hope it answers your question Centex.

Cool thanks. Figured it had to be something like that. I didnt know if it was commercial or something with tons of people out there catching that many.
