Need some recommendations for a good personal use zero turn. New house has about 3/4 acre or so to mow at a time. What is a good quality mower for personal home use?
Thanks
I just bought a bad boy magnum 54" deck $3500. It's the most over built mower out there. We love it, there our other good ones out there I would just stay away from the stamped decks, go with a mower with the fabricated deck.
I've always been a huge Scag fan and still am, but two weeks ago bought a Bad Boy Outlaw XP. I will admit it is overkill in most situationa, but I will have no regrets with buying something too small. Their smaller residential grade mowers are built better then most I've seen. Here's a pic of mine when I got it home...
Husqvrna here.Bought it from a TBHer brand new.24 horse Kawasaki, welded deck with a 48 inch cut.Built like a tank.Look up YazooMike on here,he'll hook you up.
I've got a 50" Toro with Kawasaki engine. Going on 2 years. I love it. You can catch them on sale for about $2799. However, generally go for $2999. I got the bagger system when I got mine ($500 more). I hate racking leaves and this solved my problem perfectly. I mow 2 achers with many trees to go around. 3/4 acher should be a 30 minute mow or less even if you have a lot of obstacles.
I've got the Bad Boy 60" deck with the 27 hp engine and it is a mowing machine. I mow about an acre of my place and 150-200' of ditch with it in less than an hour!
Very solid buily mower from the deck up!
Another vote for the Bad Boy.I have a 42in deck and Kawasaki Motor. Its way over built for residential use and you cant beat the price.I actually use mine for my Lawncare bizz and 3 yrs running only problem I had was a busted idler pulley and that cost 14.50 and I fixed it myself.I don't have a hr meter or beer holder but I don't have time to stop and drink beer and the mower shows no sign of slowing down. The Mz series or Magnum series will be Perfect for your needs. My recommendation would be to buy from a dealer though for piece of mind and better service than TSC.
If you were closer I would let you test drive mine. And make you a heck of a deal on it.
