Only time its the wrong time to set up a stand...is if the Deer watch you do it - and even then... its only wrong for a short period of time... like ..for the period of time the deer stand there watching you..then run off..
Soon as they run off... the clock starts over and you are good for the next set of deer that didnt watch you put it up.

I've brought a tractor into my stand area and plowed, got out and cut limbs for a clear shot, peed on a bush, and then still had deer on my camera an hour later.

As mentioned above, we make changes and additions on our lease during season.

For sure--most deer are so accustomed to human presence that it might keep them away a day or two at the most.

I have set up a bow stand, which included tons of limb and brush clearing, and had trail cam pics of deer walking by it 6 hours after I left.

I found a nice scrape and several heavy tracks at a point where three trails converge. I set up a camera and threw some hand corn and canNOT wait to check it out. If the results are promising then I'd like to put a tree stand up but it would require cutting a small tree down (to clear my field of view) and then trimming another tree to put the stand in.
We're quickly coming up on the one month countdown to the opener so what does everyone think about the timing of putting this stand up?
No sir, I have hung stands killed the next day. Use a treeclimber all the time, which is essentially the same thing.

It sounds like a bedding area. I would try to do it at night and be as quiet as possible. You will be good, I have done it plenty of times.

We drug in a tower stand, built the top out with metal roofing the works. Had 7-8people stomping around looking busy while the others worked. Set up the feeder, used trucks to fill everything, chain saw clearings, had music going with cold beer flowing. Finished up at about 4pm and one of the guys said he wanted to hunt there that evening. We all laughed and wished him luck as we relieved ourselves in the area all afternoon. I'll be dang if he didnt kill a very nice solid 8 point and a coyote within 1 hour of everybody leaving to their blinds. Maybe thats the secret!

You'll never know unless you try. I say go for it...but be as minimally invasive as possible.

The time I have seen the most deer out of my blind was the day after I put it up. You should be fine
