Saw Helibow do it by accident one time - he got a pass-thru on a medium sized hog and the arrow then hit a little one right between the eyes. Found both of them.

I am so with Trailboss on this, every animal deserves a quick clean death.

I understand about getting rid of every hog you see...being at war with them. Just make quick kills. If you are not "bowhunting" them but exterminating them take a rifle, or trap and shoot them. I think the shot is irresponsible and puts bowhunting in a bad light.

This is just my opinion....but I don't lower my personal standards and ethics just because the animal is undesirable and needs to be removed.

I let a whole bunch get away last week without a kill because they were bunched up under the feeder and couldn't get one isolated and still enough to shoot.

I've done it with football sized piglets, lined up 3.
I've taken 2 pigs at a time with my 7mm twice. I shoot head of one, then vitals of the second.

I would not do it on purpose. All animals deserve humane treatment. pigs are not being distructive to be vendictive they are distructive as result of there excellent survival instinct and ability. That being said, kill all you can before they take over the world!!! They are like giant fire ants.

The hogs dont belong here in the wild they create problems for the native animals that lived here first if we dont reduce numbers we are in for some real problems.

I'd try it just to see if I could do it.

I actually did it this year. Shot a 70lb pig and got a complete pass through and took out another. The second pig ran the shortes distance and was found deak maybe 40 yards away. The one with the pass through was a good 150 yards away.

                            great responses y'all.

I'm still on the "I don't know" till the opportunity arises, but am definitely leaning towards the one shot, one kill preferred method for me. Not to go against anyone else, we all hunt and harvest for different reasons, some more than others, I.E. ranch owners with food plots, livestock, etc. and then those without who just hunt for the hunt, then those who hunt for food and survival.

So all in all, numerous reasons, just depends on the hunter and until the opportunity rises i'm going to stick with my hopes and intentions of one shot, one kill.

I'll keep y'all posted how next months hog hunt goes though, and test my theory.

HAVE done it with a rifle. Wouldn't do it with a bow.

Hogs rank right up there with any other varmit. As long as the dang thing dies I don't care. They do more damage to property than anything out there. As my father in-law says " Shoot that sow B*&CH first and don't let the others get away." Worms gotta eat to.
