Glad you could maintain enough control to find a remedy that didn't involve a gun or a speeding train.

I tan very well. However back when I was about 22 I sunburned my back and had the same exact problem

I got very drunk around that same time and threw up everything I had eaten for the last two months.

So I have made it a point that I have never again gotten that drunk or sunburned ever again.

Do something once and you made a mistake. Twice and you are being stupid.

I, like some others have posted, have never heard of this either.

            Hope you feel better soon.

I had it a couple of years ago. Didn't know what it was until you just described it. It was the worst night of my life, I think I spent 50 dollars at the drug store at 2 in the morning trying to find a cure. Seriously terrible!!!

A long time ago I was in Colorado with some buddies and the Tacoma we were riding in was packed, so I rode in the bed wearing just shorts. Well, I fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up burned bad. The whole right side of my body was beet red. The next few days was complete misery! The burning, itching, and stinging was terrible. It felt like little needles sticking in me...nearly drove me insane, and yes you will do almost anything to make it stop.

By reading the title I thought you got a hold of some dirty leg.

I've had this twice. Once when I was younger and got too much sun while camping (don't really remember much but the pain). Next time was in high school when I wouldn't put sunscreen on while we partied at the lake. Didn't even realize I was burnt until the next day when I couldn't move. Now I'm a sunscreen nazi with my wife and I wear long sleeves/pants to make sure this never happens again. Absolutely horrible experience for sure... Hope you feel better soon.

Was there in May... literally had wife layer back in lotion and I laid under a fan. WEARING a shirt actually helped me sleep... Idk why but it did. 24 hours and its gone... I actually ruined a work shirt scratching my back like Balu on expanded metal racks

New to me. Never in my life heard of this.
Good luck. Maybe try Solarcane. Or however it is spelled.

Just came up on hour 20 while at work and it feels like the itching is just hiding and waiting to pounce but it's tolerable for the time being.
Just feels like ants are crawling under my shirt everywhere and I'm resisting to itch.
As long as the stinging doesn't start up then I should be okay...
