You may want to look into a QAD Ultra Rest or Ripcord. Total arrow containment with all the benefits of a drop away. You can get the Qad Hunter rest for about $50. My brother, Dad, and myself all started with the Bisquit, and we all switched to a drop away. My brother and I use the Drop Zone. When my dad switched, we got him the qad hunter. He absolutely loves it. If you stick with the bisquit, I would suggest some slick finish arrows like the axis or bemans fletched with a blazer type vane. Stay away from camo or rough finish arrows like gt or pse x weaves.

There IS Not a better rest to gets a kiddo started out on, it builds confidence and allows them to shoot many more arrows without fatigue causing the arrow to fall off the rest, ive sold alot of bows to kiddos and i would say that atleast 90% of the are sent away smiling with a biscuit bolted on

WB is the #1 selling rest in the world.
Very few of us can shoot the difference in a hunting situation.
Keep things as simple as possible and kids will get more enjoyment out of it.
Use the Blazer vanes, and you will have no vane crinkling.
1-2 fps loss in speed, again very few of us can shoot the difference.

RickyT--Haven't heard from you guys in a long time--my fault!--I got a new lease after getting off Mexico last year--Big Story for later!--We are on a family lease in Freer now--You and your son need to come and help us arrow down some porkers soon! Big Problem!
I have been out of Bow Hunting for a few years as at our family ranch we cain't hunt Bow--I can but don't want to rock the boat for the "Normal" hunters that come up to hunt--
I shot competition as a young man--started out with a Fred Bear Kodiac Hunter Recurve and smacked many an animal!--Went to a Jennings Sidekick and won many tourneys at the age of 12-13 against the guys in adult league!
I still shoot a slow original Viking Bow--one of the first made by Viking Archery! Ha!--Times and some ways have changed--I still use finger tab!
I am with the Anchor Points and I will work on that with him first and try to get him into the Trigger Release--Peep Site--Fall Down Rest etc. on the next go round so his confidence is High!
Thanks again for all your help folks!
swamp and Johnny!
Rifle Shot ...................but it is a pig and Javi down!

One thing to consider for the young man is that the better he does, the more fun he'll have, and that in turn will make him more likely to continue shooting down the road.
