    Gravity Smokers

Does anybody have any experience with gravity smokers like a stumps or superior? I'm looking at getting one down the road. i love my stick burner (as they're called on BBQ Pitmasters), but wouldn't mind having one of these to go along with it. I cook quite a bit competitively, at home with friends and for decent sized groups. They seem to be pretty legit, just looking for any first hand knowledge or pros/cons on the green screen.

Looks like the same principal as the UDS on steroids.

The charcoal feed system is pretty cool.

One of the guys cooking next to us was using a Deep South Cooker. It seemed to work very well. He had a Guru connected to it which will control the temp and give live read outs straight to your phone. Kinda seemed like cheating to me but its allowed. He said he could cook for 16 hours off of one load of charcoal.

I like my stick burner, but the Assassin gravity smokers look nice - so do stump's. I understand the appeal, 17 hours of tending a fire can get old.

Yep, plus it uses way less wood.
