    Job interview

I am 61 years old and have my first ever job interview Wednesday. A little bit of a different situation than most. I posted on here about my old boss calling about a month age and asking if i knew of anyone to fill this position.http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...d.php?t=461795

Any way based on some responses here, I call him later and asked for a meeting. He was headed out of town. I waited 1 1/2 weeks and he had not called back, so I called back again. This time the secretary routed the call to his son ( now the head of the department where I would be working). I have an interview Wednesday afternoon.

I am not sure what to expect being as I have worked for them before in this position and in numerous positions as I worked my way up the ladder.

To say I am antsy would be a understatement.

If you don't get nervous before a job interview you're not human. Just be yourself and talk about what you know and you will be absolutely fine.

The fact that they reached out to you was likely an invitation in and of itself.

They already know you, and I believe that they want you back. I hope it goes great, and I'll send one up for you.

Yeah, I've had several interviews lately and I get very short with the family preparing for them. Prayers to you.

I was lucky because we just got bought out and was TOLD I had a job, I would suggest telling them what I knew they needed to know to run the company. If that didn't work then then it's their bad luck.

Well it went fairly well. They did throw me one curve. They had me set down at a computer and build a formula in excel. While 2 people watched over my shoulder. A lot of pressure and I stumbled around with that. Not a huge part of the job, but a familiarity with Excel would a big plus to them.

Good luck and good for you! I HATE my "career, job" right now. With a "start up" medical device company run by *&$%#)&%. Most of the sales force is looking, 3 colleagues/friends called me today and have resigned.
I'm loyal, proven successful sales experience for MAJOR players, FED UP:
But, I'm also 61 so worried sick right now. High Pressure with physician accounts set up that have patients they are getting scheduled to use my product.
Not sure if I can last it out with the management we have.........
