Mine was the no needle kind. Had it done at 4pm on a Thursday and went to work at 8 am on Friday. No swelling, no pain and very little awkwardness.

I wish I would have had the procedure back when i was about 16 and then had the reversal done when I was financially ready to have kids. High school and college would have been a lot more fun.

I did the same type Dan Patrick did on the radio. No cut style. Took a whole 10 min and drove my self home. Took weekend off. No swelling, no pain, no stitches, no big deal.

My boys are still intact so no personal experience here. Just thought I'd humor the crowd this morning by letting you know the go to guy for this procedure in Austin is a fella by the name of Dr. **** Chopp.

              Yep...........true story

Those strings SUCK. My wife can't feel them but I do every dang time.

That's funny, he has been in practice a while. I did a rotation at Breckenridge when I was a medical student. I remember hearing about a urologist named Richard Chop. I thought that was awesome.

Not bad. I just don't recommend declining the doctor note for three days off during hunting season! Also make sure you remind your wife you're doing this for her! Last if your doctor will "prescribe" this surgery as needed to prevent pregnancy risk, your insurance will cover it, I paid my co-pay and that's all.

I don't mean that as an attack but standard of care is sterilization(patient or partner) before ablation.

My advice, don't try and gather cows horseback for at least a month afterward!

yeah, mine sucked for the first couple of months. one would swell the size of a kiwi at the drop of a hat, and i worked in the office sitting on an ice pack for two weeks to keep the swelling down. followed instructions to the letter, wore the support as suggested, and i still hurt occasionally. i guess scar tissue isnt my friend.
