Not sure if it works on chiggers,but scattering out powdered washing machine soap works on all sorts of insects,including fleas...Cheap too

Chiggers hate sunlight

One thing that we know about these bugs is that they really hate the burning sun. That's why chiggers like to hide under our large and thick lawn. In order to get rid of them, you should clear the area with lawnmower regularly. And after you do that, make sure you apply pesticide to eliminate all the remaining.

of course im talking about CHIGGERS. i havent had them in years but after this past week up in rkiesaw i am plum ate up wit em...CVS didnt have "chigger rid" and the clear nail polish trick didnt work either. any suggestions

When you get home from being in the woods (or being outside in your case), put a little vinegar in your bath & soak in it. Works for me, and I spent every day in the woods when I was surveying.
