Money talks BS walks. You can bet your bottom dollar that if the company gets in a pinch they won't give two ****s about you.

pray about it and maybe talk to your boss. If you have committed something you have to fulfill that obligation . Integrity. Maybe your new boss will agree and release you from you commitment. There is a right and wrong thing here. You will know what is right. Good luck!!!

If I didnt promise so many months or years, id make the move that gave my family the most benefit whichever one that maybe.
This! My first job, still in high school, paid $5.50 an hour. I worked there 3 Weeks but at the end of the first week, got a better offer from a family friend making $7/hour and a job i would enjoy a lot more. My old man told me I should stay with the first company because they took a risk on me and i should be loyal like he was and his dad was. I asked him how loyal those employers were to them and he told me that grandpa's employer was a good family business and considered the employees family as well. His employer was the USPS and being civil service and union, he was very secure. I said, "Dad, that's the difference. This employer will not be loyal to me, if they can get somebody to do my job for less, I'll be gone in a heartbeat." After looking at the company, he agreed and agreed i should take the job with the family friend. I worked for that company every Summer all through high school, and had a job waiting during Summers while I was in college too if I needed it. You have to look out for you, employers ain't what they used to be.

What part of Pensilvania? That would be a factor in my choice. I just got back from driving up there and back to Texas. Some of Pensilvania was awesome. And some.... Seemed as if I was in East texas trying to score some meth.

                  Storm, where at in Florida?

As in some of the above, look out for #1 and the family. Snow blower vs. fun in the sun, quicker trip back home, fishing, decent taxes and cost of living. SEC football, swimsuits.

Deb , I told the guy w no hired me that I was looking for a home and put in at least 10 more years in so this plays a lot in my decision. By giving me this job did i keep someone from bettering themselves. It's time to pray and see where he sends me.

Agree with all the above. Look out for yourself and family. The company will always do what's best for it over what's best for an employee.

Being from Florida I hate south Florida with a passion. But for 15 g raise a year I might move. But then again it's in south Florida........

Also great fishing almost zero hunting unless you want to pay an arm, leg, right foot, left ear to hunt small deer in the heat.
