    what should I do?

I left the Dallas area for a job here in Pennsylvania and today I got a new job offer in Florida for 7 bucks more an hour. I'm torn between saying yes and keeping true to my word with this company I'm with right now. You guys as my family help me!

Do what's best for you and your family. The company will do what's best for it.

That is a true statement. Just make sure you are not considering only money. The $7 may be offset by higher property taxes, or state income taxes and stuff like that. Consider Florida and consider cost of homeowner's insurance. You may not be better off when its all said and done. Make sure you'll be happy in FL as well. Its not always about the money. Good luck

I would pray. God will lead you to were you need to be. If you let him.

Florida does not have state income tax. PA does.

$7 may not be a big increase if you're currently making $150/hour... It's obviously a huge increase if you're making $12/hour

This times a 1000, turn it over to the Lord and don't 2nd guess the decision even if it doesn't seem right to you.

What is being 'true to your word' in this situation? Did you promise to work XX months/years? Or did you just accept the job?
I think keeping your word far outweighs a few extra bucks. But what is 'keeping your word' in this scenario?

In August my dad will have been with his employer for 40 years. After graduating college i figured i would get a job, be loyal and stay there until retirement. But 11 years out of college I realize companies no longer show the same loyalty. If I didnt promise so many months or years, id make the move that gave my family the most benefit whichever one that maybe.
