              looks like a tom cod on the deck behind you-ditch the halibut and batter up those cod loins if your serious about good eating.

                It's easy to overcook halibut and ruin it. Don't overcook it. If you cook it until you think it's done, then there's a good chance you've overcooked it.

                    Cut into 1" steaks, season to taste and grill over charcoal like a thin steak.
                    About 8 minutes per side.

                                Mock Lobster, Bring 2 quarts of water to a rapid boil, add 1/3 cup of salt and 2/3 cup of brown sugar. Slice Halibut into 1 inch thick pieces. Drop into water and remove as soon as it floats (better to cook too little than too much) serve with drawn butter. You're welcome.
