                      We have some here in Grimes Co. but not many or very often. Had a fair amount of em in Montgomery Co where I grew up, heck, we even had quail back then. I was pleasantly surprised to see a fair number of em at the lease near Victoria a month or so ago.

                        I read somewhere that the population was decimated a decade or so ago--some fungus if I recall. They're just starting to make a comeback.

                        As a kid, we would collect a bunch of them in a mason jar. They would start to synchronize their lights...man, that jar would GLOW!

                            I blame their disappearance on Fire Ants.... or Obama. One of those two had something to do with it I'm sure.
