Are you telling me that if you had a 170" 8 point, a 170" 10 point, and a 170" 12 point all within shooting distance, you would rather shoot the 10 or 12 before the 8??? Whatever floats your boat man. I have guided a few hunters that have passed on big 8's in order to shoot a smaller 9 or 10 just because he had more points. To each his own. Heck, I would shoot a 170" 4 point before any of the others.

Amen Chance. If the inches are the same, the fewer points the deer has the bigger he has to be. In real life, I doubt anyone would pass a 170 8 to kill a 170 10 or 12. they just wouldn't compare when standing side by side. Now, would I kill a BIGGER 10 than an 8. You bet. I'll kill the biggest one I can find. But, I'd also kill a BIGGER 8 than a 10. Duh.
