    Incessant Calls from AT&T

Anybody else getting the automated calls from AT&T? I started getting these calls on April 23rd. Always from a 1-800 number and sometimes several a day (Today I got 6 calls). I don't answer and I'll get a partial voicemail from about half of the calls.

"Simply log into your account to redeem your $200. At AT&T, we care about you. Thank you and have a nice day."

I called an AT&T customer service number I found on the internet. The lady I talked to put my number on a "Do Not Call" list. Hopefully, I've heard the last from AT&T.

Threaten to switch to Verizon or sprint if they call again and I bet they stop

In a call regarding another matter I told the rep about these calls and they told me it was a scam...........don't answer. Now that you mention it the calls stopped after I talked to AT&T.

Everyone should be on the do not call list. By law they cannot contact you if you're on it. Do you know the phone number that puts you on the DNC? I use to have it when I needed it

I already have Sprint. I only get DSL internet through AT&T and my cell # is not on the account.

if you have done business with them, then they can call and harass, er, solicit you....wish it were the case that they couldn't though

I've heard the DNC list are scams and don't do jack for you.

Register yourself on the DO NOT CALL as opposed to relying on a secondary party. You will also have a record of it. She may just put you on the AT&T list but any other party can still call you or they may sell your list?

I started getting them and called 611. I was told they are not from AT&T and they are some sort of scam. Anyway, everytime I got one, I just blocked the number. After a while, they quit coming.

So I decided to google AT&T scams and came up with this.

This is the voice and message I am receiving on the voicemails.
