    How many is too many???

Miles, that is. I am looking to purchase a used f150 sometime within the next year or so, and I have all of my criteria down and a price range. But, I have found that the only trucks that fit the mold have over 90k miles, which to me doesn't seem like too much, but some ppl tell me that is too high. What does the GS think??? Is 90k too many miles for a 2009 and newer model vehicle?

    For a 2009, I think 90K is good!!!

      That's pretty good for a 09

        For a 2009 that's not many miles. That's only 18,000 miles a year. Wasn't driven much...

I have 73k on my 08'. I think if you look hard enough and take your time you will be able to find a good deal. 12-15k miles/year seems about right for any used vehicle.

You've seen my truck Gerard, bought it with 120k and sitting at 167k now and running strong.

It's a 3/4 ton but has the 5.4 in it so basically same engine as fords 1/2 ton

What motor are you looking at?

Either the 5.4 or the 5.0

If you're patient, and shop around you can find good deals. Me personally, would never buy a used vehicle with more than 30-40k miles. I picked up a 2011 Tundra CrewMax SR5 4x4 with 26k miles in 2013 for $24k.

the 5.4, which i like to refer to as the "gutless wonder" wont get you anywhere fast, but it'll get you there every time.

Bought my 05 with 150k 2.5 years ago. I am sitting at 230k now with only an oil pump change out. 90k is just getting broke in.

                        GMC Sierra btw

I bought a used fleet truck that was the flagger for a windmill truck that had around 110k miles on it, but was newer and haven't had any problems at all with it...that was 4 years ago and now it has more than 180k

anything over 15k a year is considered high mileage.
