There's no reason why today's vehicles shouldn't go 300-500k mileage is just a number. Look at the overall condition of it. Spend $80-100 and have a reputable shop inspect it out.

I just got me a 2007 F150 ford that had only 42k miles on it. That was the lowest miles I had ever seen on a 2007 truck.

I won't buy a truck with more than 60K regardless. I won't buy a car with more than 30K. I won't by a sports car with more than 10-12 and some solid proof it wasn't a track car.

Your missing out on some great deals on some great trucks.

My 05 F150 had 85,000ish on it when I got it in 2011, now sitting at 140,000 and nary a problem out of it except general maintenance. I have the 5.4 in mine as well and it has plenty of giddy-up for my purposes.

Ask for records of maintenance, car fax, have it looked at by a mechanic, pay for the inspection, get a compression test done, crankcase pressure checked, what is worn, what is coming up as far as maintenance and repairs, get their opinion on it as well.

Buy an extended warranty, and use it. Tons of coverage with little out of pocket.

Oh, and main thing which ever one you buy. Maintenance........And as close to the book as possible.

This for sure. The last 2 trucks I bought had 98k and 110k miles on them. I drove the one that I bought with 98k miles on it until I upgraded vehicles at 156k miles and did not spend a single dime in non routine maintenance.

I'm still driving the one I bought with 110k miles. It has around 185k on it and all I have done is a little front end work and a water pump. I will drive it another 2 years and hand it down to my son.

I drive a 2001 f-150 that has 286,000 miles and I would take off and drive any where and not worry.
