Sticker sighting - in MY DRIVEWAY!!!

So, we take off early Friday morning for the motorcycle rally in Luckenbach. The wife (PA2TX) and I in loaded in the '06 Duramax (206K miles) with the bike in the toy hauler. We get 75 miles from the house and lose the transfer case bushing/bearing. We're dead in the water off of I-10.So we get a $575 tow and get back to the house about 5PM.

Still refusing to accept defeat, wife convinces me to load the bike on the utility trailer and load all of our weekend necessities into the truck our son so graciously loaned us.

A bit weary from the day's intensity, we went to eat some Mexican food and think about it. It was during that dinner that we informally accepted defeat and formally accepted it by not getting up early Saturday morning for the 4 hour drive to Luckenbach.

Soooooooo, Saturday morning we unload everything we had loaded up only hours prior and that afternoon we head out vehicle shopping. I am now driving the nicest vehicle I have ever in my life driven. (Thank you honey for letting me spoil myself.)

"Old Blue" is gonna retire to the Del Rio area (our lease) because this new ride ain't going any farther onto our lease than camp. Blue will continue to make the 9 mile (one way) brush-ducking trip thru the lease to our hunting area, not the new ride.
