Phillip at Cajun Guide is a good friend of mine. Great outfit. We went to Erik Rues last year. Top notch for sure. The lodge was awesome and great group of ladies made breakfast lunch and killer dinner. All the beer and liquor you want too.

Capt. Norman Rester, A-Speck Charters, we have fished with him for more than 15 years and you will not find a better guy who works harder to get you on the fish. 337-884-0656 or aspeckcharters@aol.com

hackberry is a big outfit and has guides on the water at all times. They know what the eph they're doing and its a great package deal.
If your looking for a guide or two Jared Adams is a good friend and a heck of a fisherman. He runs a smaller outfit and is a fishing fool . . . not afraid to burn gas to chase down the fish so he'll run all the way to sabine to get your lines tight.

If you just are interested in fishing, Hackberry is a good one as are others, however if you want the TOTAL, Louisiana plantation style hospitality and a trip of a lifetime, there's only one place to go... Grosse Savanne Lodge. Great guides for fishing whether in the lake or marsh, 5 star accommodations, world class chef, open bar/game room, and a lodge with a view that is true South Louisiana. Go to http://www.grossesavanne.com/ to check it out.

Cowboy, James and Phillip at Cajun guide service I don't think Freddie the owner guides much any more. I used to guide with these guys and would recommend any of the three. Cajun guide is a smaller operation and more personal trip than Hackberry rod and gun. I had the oopportunity to guide some trips for HR&G but didn't like some of their rules for a guide. If the fishing was slow they didn't want the guides running around looking for fish because they were putting the gas in the guides boats. Also pretty much straight up noon you were to be back at the dock.
