Some Hog Doggers do this to keep their young dogs from staying with, or re-tracking one that they already killed.

I don't care either way it is his piece of dirt. I just don't understand why someone would waist that much energy putting dead hogs in a tree

I don't understand some people. As a hunter this upsets me, but to each his own I guess until we aren't allowed to hunt anymore then we're all upset and can't figure out why!!!!!

The tree is off cr927 in bosque co. Its right next to the road and not on private land.

Used to be catfish heads and dead coyotes hanging all over trees and fence post around the house when I was a kid...I used to like seeing them.

Oh ok I too have seen this tree then. Except it only had one hog in it when I saw it.

Maybe he just doesn't want to feed the coyotes but he is all about keeping the pigs thinned out.

Agreed...plenty of folks would give up pork, but Other than a few random families, I know of know place to “take them and drop them off”.

Seems like the tree is gaining some tradition behind it if people have been hanging hogs on it for over 10 years.....keep it going.

We'd put them in a tree if & when we caught & killed with the dogs, sometimes its hard to get em to leave the carcass alone, especially excited youngins , but this was out in the woods, not on a hwy corner.
