By the way...it did stink big time! It's their land but I don't like it at all and wonder why they just did not let em' lay in the pasture? Some states, depending on statutes, would view this as wastage? Destructive critters we all know, but a lot of hungry out there.
That tree is about 5 miles from my ranch and hogs have been hanging in that tree for more than 10 years. I dont care either way on it. Funny thing is some of those pigs are hanging 10' above the ground.

I also noticed they were "up high." My shoulders would struggle just getting 'em in my truck!
I don't have a problem with it. Hogs are just another varmit. Some people are scared to eat wild hogs due to diseases. Others don't like to mess with the nasty things. As mentioned probably a sign tree letting the landowner know hogs are being killed.
I see hogs dumped out on county roads all the time but never hanging in a tree. It doesn't take much effort to just donate the meat...
it is sometimes hard to donate legally killed deer. where/who accepts feral hogs? i rarely have extras, but i'd gladly donate a gutted one if available. i'm not skinning one for another, however.
