Picked up my new bow today!

As of this morning I had never used a "real" bow before, and as of now I can group about 4" at 20 yards and I'm the proud owner of an excessively sore shoulder.

Bow: PSE Thunderbolt (06 model closeout)
    Release: Cabela's 360 Degree caliper
    Stabilizer: Limbsaver S-Coil XL
Arrows: 4 Cabela's Carbon and 4 Predator Radial Weave Carbon
    Sight: PSE F18

It seems to me like the guy did a good job of setting it up. I was there for 2 hours being assisted constantly and he took all the time I needed to adjust the release, draw length, learn how to adjust the sight, etc.

My only mistake was shooting the Cabela's guy's personal bow which was a Diamond Black Ice. Man that thing was sweet! Too bad that setup would have cost another $700.

I can definitely see myself upgrading to something like you have after this season if I decide I really like bowhunting.

Man, my right shoulder and left bicep are sore from yesterday. I frequently lift weights, but this is entirely different. Here are some pics I took of the new setup this morning:

Bowhunting is by far the most addicting sport I have ever participated in! Hope you enjoy it as much. I also have a PSE X Force and my back up bow is a PSE Firestorm Lite and before that had a PSE Deerhunter. Love the brand and the shooting capacity. Good luck to you and hope you take a bountiful harvest with it.

Congrats on the new set up. As soon as you see you arrow disappear into an animal and shoot out the other side you'll never want to hunt any other way. BTW if you're feeling it in you bicep you might need to straighten out you arm a little more.
