Maybe the purple spray you remember was Topazon. Actually a spray powder. We used it for everything from pink eye to cuts. I believe it was banned by the USDA for use in food animals.

We spray painted my buddies gray dog with that stuff while at A&M. His boys stayed blue and the obscene objects on his sides for awhile. It was hilarious!

We used it but I don't remember the name. Sprayed it on their sac and head after dehorn.

I also used Horse Liniment with DMSO in it for muscle pulls and sprains.

Is it called "scarlet oil", or something like that? We have that stuff for the horses.

I think it was called Furrox.

My girlfriend had it on one night back in the early 60's. Ruined a custom, white vinyl seat insert in my 58 Impala 2dr hardtop.

Furox is a yellow spray powder, or at least it used to be. I think it got banned.

Yes sir.......used it all of the time.........have not had any for 10 years plus. The stuff I have for my horses (etc...) now is clear......does not work as well I don't think.

That is actually how the "Wave" got started. Sprayed some on my leg... stood up quick....threw my arms up......and the rest is history

Actually it didn't sting that I remember.

Been covered head to two in the stuff....LOL.

My kids don't use it but they have gone to school more than once wrapped in vet wrap.
