From only those 2 choices, I'd pick the Glock since I have more trigger time with it. If I had my choice, it would be something completely different because I shoot them even better than the Glock

Roughly the same gun. The grips are different and both have their good points if you know how to grip them, which is different for each. The Glock has a much stronger trigger reset which is great but the M&P has a smoother trigger, once it gets broken in. It can sometimes be crappy out of the box.

Flip a coin and choose the one you like the best.

Oh yeah, the Glock 21 grip can be very large for some people. If a person has large hands, it might be one of the best pistols on the market of any brand. If not, the 21SF has a slightly smaller grip that can make it a better option for some people. I have medium size hands and the 21 seems huge but the 21sf is not bad for me.

The M&P with its three different grip sizes are very different.

              In .45 ACP either.

Now if I have one gun for SHTF days I'd try and grab my G19 9mm. And if I had a G17 that would be first. If I draw first there will be more Glock mags, parts and 9mm ammo than .45 to pick up.
Of course I'd pickup as much of the guns/ammo/food/water I can carry too...
