    M&P 45 or glock 21 gen4

Posted this on other side of ranch, but need opinions. What would you rather have in SHTF situation. What say the GS

I think both are very reliable guns, but if I had to pick one it would be the Glock.

Both are good guns, but I would give the edge to Glocks. Been around longer the the M&Ps and just durable, reliable, and corrosion resistant. Not knocking the M&Ps, just have had much more hands on experience with Glocks. Many of my LE buds also choose to carry Glocks, but to be fair they all had their Glocks before the M&Ps were around.

I personally would take the Glock I have both the M&P and the Glock but I have more confidence in the Glock.

ive had both, shot both, and loved both.

if it was a SHTF moment, id grab the one I practiced with most, and since the m&p is more comfortable, itd prolly be the m&p

This. Except for me it would be the Glock. You need to carry and shoot the gun that you are most comfortable with. Much like bows there is no one fits all. I love the way Glocks feel other shooters hate them.

I say you can't go wrong with either one but I would lean Glock.

The reason Glock won its initial contract was the simplicity. The M&P is nice, but they have a lot more parts. The barrel of a Glock is like a Kahr, one other manufacturer makes polygonal barrels. Are the barrels that good? Another debate, they claim higher velocity. The Germans designed those to keep their machine guns operating after having issues.

I have two M&P's and like them. I choose m&p for the grip and the option of a thumb safety.

                            M&P for the ergonomics.

                              I'd choose the Glock.
