I like it at eye level myself. Typically I hunt on the ground outside of wheat fields on trails (no pop-up), but if I am hunting where I have placed hand thrown corn then I use a pop-up, much easier to get drawn without being spotted when you have multiple deer within view

I can sit all day in a tree or a tripod pushed up next to a tree, but I feel like I'm missing something in a ground blind. I also get fidgety and bored a lot quicker, I’m sure it's from the limited view.

ground blind once it cools down but tree stand until then. Ground blinds I sit alot longer. I take a lunch with me and good reading material. I lay on the ground and take a nap when I get sleepy and the crunching of corn will wake me up. I have a tall blind that I can stand in. I take a small ice chest and have no problem at all staying from before daylight to dark. I like hunting in a T-shirt and crocs

I like both. My #1 setup has both and I hunt out of either depending on the situation, weather, wind, etc. It is easier to get to full draw from the tent. My youngest son has shot three deer from that tent with both of us in the tent whispering about which deer to shoot. Try doing that from a tree stand. It almost feels like cheating sometimes from the tent. Almost!

            Tree Stand

Tree stand or tripod for me, you see much more, which can keep me at least keep too busy to fidget.

I have fallen in love with ground blinds over the last few years. I dont like them early because of the heat but have spent many a sweaty afternoon in one. I do still enjoy hunting from ladder stands as well but not as much. Ground blinds, especially homemade wooden blinds, are more comfortable and being on level ground with the animals at close range is awesome. I believe scent control is a lot easier from in a blind as well.

Tree stands for sure. My new way to build quick and comfortable tree stands is to screw a 2*6 into the V of a tree and mount an Academy swivel boat seat on top of the 2*6. I like to build my stands really high and 20 or so yards from the feeder so I can move around a little and get some good video from above.

I have tripods set up at 12 yards for all the recurve shooters on the lease. They can get winded and spook deer all day long from those

I Love My Pop Ups Well Hidden And Brushed In. The Only Thing You Can See When Im Done Is The Dark Hole From The Window. I Love Hunting From A Lock On But Prefer More Of The Eye Level Thing I Feel More Comfortable To Move Around And Not Get Busted.

They both have their place and time. I lean more towards tent blind so I can move it where I want it.

Tree stands are nice for the 360 view but harder to get drawn without being busted. Also I hunt by myself a lot of the time so staying on the ground is much safer. Another problem is getting everything I carry like video camera. no scent spray and reading materials up the tree in addition to my bow and arrows is a pain. The restricted view in tents is irritating but it can add to the suspense when you can hear things but can't see what is going on until they step into view. Tents also move easy when the wind is not right.

I have hunted out of both and would rather choose a tree stand cause you can see a lot more out of a tree than on the ground, but there is also the plusses in hunting from a blind because its safer and most are scent proof

I like a tree stand if you can get high enough (25 to 30 feet +). Around Magnolia you should be able to do that with a lock on and steps or a climber.

But if you are only able to get up 15 feet in a ladder stand situation, I prefer a ground blind.

Treestand, for several reasons. I enjoy watching the woods wake up, seeing the birds, squirrels, mice, etc. come to life. Plus, when you are in the woods, its hard to spot a deer at a distance in a ground blind, might miss the opportunity to grunt call or rattle in the big one.
