    Help, I can barely move

I gave into peer pressure and worked out they other day with some fit friends. So, I ended up overdoing it (first time working out in a long time)
We'll here I am 2 and 3 days later and can't hardly move.

I try to work it out, but it seems to only get tighter.

Any tips on being able to move again?

When I try to stretch, it seems to only get worse.
I'll have to see if there is any advil or aleve around. Been taking ib.

I can only laugh at myself for trying to do what the other guys where doing. I knew better, but competitive nature kicks in.

hot bath/shower, aleve, and stretch. You need to do some kinda work out today to get the toxins out of your muscles. I wouldn't do anything with weights though. Just body weight squats, push ups, bend over a touch your toes, walk/job, just something to get you moving and sweating. Once you are sweating and your body feels lose, then stretch.

You need to go for a jog, the reason you are so sore is because you have lactic (sp) acid build up and to break it down you need a nice mile to two mile jog... Its the truth

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory and pain killer. That is all you need perhaps.
Drink lots of fluids to help flush out the lactic acid, say 4-16 oz water bottles per day min.

If available get a full body Swedish massage. If not available, get your significant other to give you a massage in the areas of hurt. Tell her you will owe her big time and she'll jump on the opportunity of a shopping spree or whatever.

Once you recover. Repeat but not so hard this time. You'll have more muscle pain but perhaps a good hurt this time. Your rest days are the most important in rebuilding your body for both strength and aerobics.

Ha, ha . . . most here have been there and done that.
