Will the Texans pull the trigger on Johnny?

I am wondering if that workout yesterday "since it went so well and had so much entertainment value" didn't force the Texans hand. If they had very little interest in taking him two days ago it may have changed. The best thing that could have happened for the Texans is him having an average workout. But, now they have to think about "what if he goes somewhere else and becomes a star?".

They may out of desperation trade out of that first pick and hope someone else takes him so that will be their excuse for not doing so.

Either way it is going to get VERY interesting come draft day.

    What say you bow-hunting/football gurus???

Trade the pick. I want to see JFB on the Texans, but I think he's too big of a risk for number one overall.

I feel that the tide is turning toward picking him. It's so easy to jump on the "what if he's a flop" bandwagon. But excitement is something that Houston fans have been lacking with the run of mediocre quarterbacks we've had. Hell, Warren Moon was the last Houston QB I enjoyed watching. That's sad. I say sometimes you gotta put down the analysis software and stats and go with the person that has "it" (whatever that is). Bortles = Boring. I bet they do it.

Decent to good day does not = 1st overall pick! Don't worry folks he will be fine wherever he lands in a NFL uniform,. Congrats to him for making it as there are only about 1,400 guys that get to wear a NFL uniform per/season........I doubt he will totally stink in training camp at not make a roster.

I don't know what they're gonna do, but I don't envy having to make that decision. It's gonna be hero or zero, imo.

The number one pick is too valuable to miss on, and it becomes even more valuable when someone else wants it. I'd trade that sucker out of division in a heartbeat, and I'd get a pretty penny for it. Fill 4 or 5 holes instead of just 2.

My gut says Bortles is the guy. But JM is the ultimate wild card, even more so than Vince was....or really anyone in recent memory.

WHAT?!? do you not remember the A&M QB that Houston had after Moon? Bucky Richardson was AWESOME!

I won't guess the outcome, but I would wager that the Texans haven't made up thier mind yet.

He will go the Browns with the 26th pick... And when that happens I will become a Browns fan...

I was on the fence until yesterday... If they don't want to trade the pick and they want to draft a QB with the # 1 pick, take Manziel. He is exciting, and he is different. We HAVE ALWAYS played it safe, why not take a shot? Everyone keeps saying we need to re-build through this draft, well we already have 11 picks this year, how many do you want?

With that said, if they can trade with Cleveland and get their 4th pick and the 26th pick, which they got in the Trent Richardson deal, I'd be fine with that too. If they pull that deal off, they'll have the 4th pick, the 26th pick, and the 33rd pick. Three picks in the top 33 is a pretty good deal, you ought to be able to find some talent and depth with those guys.

If they go QB with the #1, which I am fine with, but his name isn't Manziel, I believe there will be A LOT of upset Texan Fans... Me included!!!

                            No heart!

This is the fuel Johnny feeds on.

Someone told me he is doing a private workout for Texans. Any truth to this?
