You've pretty much made my mind up for me. Appreciate your input. I searched long and hard for a cat taxi (6 months) and everything kept coming back to Clay. (Even though he's a touch higher than most) I wanted it done right since it'll probably be the only one I ever mount. Appreciando amigo!

Glad to help. Quality is worth the extra doe trust me. I can't wait to see it in the competition room. It must be a very pretty cat!!!

Thanks for the input. It's actually quite the opposite. Instead of 6-8 months the competition is end of April. Said he'd hand it over to me first of May.

I wish he'd ask me that. Clay has done several animals for me and is second to none on his cats. I'd said yes in a heartbeat without thinking twice.

I'd probably let him do it if your only concern is the position. It's sounds close to the position you wanted anyway.
I would though wonder why he doesn't make each mount "show quality" though? Maybe all taxis do this but doesn't seen right to me.

Most people couldn't afford show quality work. Time is money and when he puts 5 times as much time into every detail it will cost 5x as much!
