Another CHL Wait Thread

Mailed mine on 2/2. Electronic prints were done before that. Just yesterday status changed from what yours says to manufacturing pending.to this morning being mailed.

Mine never said anything and the one day it just showed up in the mail. I think it was a total of 3 months before I got it. I was thinking my paperwork never got there but I guess it did.. Just forget about it and then it will show up.

To the OP - I just got fingerprinted and submitted my checklist items electronically on Tuesday afternoon (March 25). I got the following email this morning: "Thank you for using the Regulatory Services Division’s website.

We have received the documents attached to your email. This information will be forwarded to a CHL Specialist for review and processing. For more information on CHL status changes and updates visit www.DPS.Texas.gov or go to the Status Check link. Please allow staff sufficient time to continue processing these documents."

The status link still says the same thing you posted above, but at least I know they have everything.

Well, it finally updated this morning.

License Status: Application packet has been received from the applicant, the application is in progress. Show receipt

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Completed
Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing

At least I know they got it now. From some of the other posts, I expect to get the license soon.

Took the class last May. Sent everything in in August. Took about 3 weeks for the website to be updated and then the rest of the process only took 2 weeks or so. Was a little more than 1 month for me

This is what happened with my wifes.......it never changed status then showed up in the mail..

Mailed all my stuff on Feb 3rd and received my license in the mail April 4th right at 8 1/2 weeks

wouldn't sweat it...you'll get it, and the next thing you know you'll be realizing how many places you CAN'T carry into. haha.

When I sent mine in about 4.5 years ago it took 6 months to recieve my CHL. Why dont you just call them and ask if they have all the paper work.
