We got 13 acres of woods with lots of big pines. We are wanting them gone. Anyone know someone in the area who does this? Any leads would be appreciated and thanks!

If I run the pines through the chipper, can we blow em onto the ground or do the chips need to be hauled away?

You might not think you'll miss the pines now, but keep in mind Montgomery county has grown over 60% in the past 10 years. The woodlands is the fastest growing city in Texas right now and Montgomery county is in the top 25 fastest growing counties in the nation. Grand parkway will shift sprawl to a new level. Camp strake is now sold for development and the greater conroe area is about to explode. There is tremendous economic development pressure on the preserved areas such as jones forest and Sam Houston national Forrest.
Country won't be country too much longer there.
Obviously, if you have a specific management plan or purpose for your land that requires clearing that is another matter. I'm just a backwoods redneck clinging on to a memory of a rural Texas that is quickly disappearing. Sorry for my rant.

Yes, there is a management plan we have in mind. The pines need to go. We still have plenty of other trees but they need room to grow.

The place I hunt is about 100 acres of mostly open pasture. The deer come out of the surrounding woods in the mornings and evenings to feed on my hunting grounds. Well, the woods where they come from have been getting cleared and homes going up. It's a sad sad deal.
