    Corpus Christi fishing???

I might go to CC for the 4th weekend. If I were to go wade fishing without a boat, what/where would you recommend? Thanks for the help. Ed

Let's see if GroundThreat will share his honey hole!

Beware BurntOrangeBowhunters directions unless your vehicle will float.

        fishing?

I wish you luck and i've got a grill that's large enough to cook the fish when you do catch them.

if you don't catch any fish, I know a good place to eat on Everhart that will definitely fill your stomach up.

Dang and I thought I was tall! You must have very long legs if you wade traylor and mud without a boat.

If you have a 4 wheel drive you can catch the dirt road to the right, right before Brown and Root rig yard at the Port Aransas ferry landing (you might have to hunt around for it but it is there by the fence...it goes all the was to the end of the land hook...you will have Brown and Root flats on one side and East flats on the other. Last time I was through there the road was rough, but passable.

You can also wade the bars between the Indian Point pier and the beach if you want to stay closer to corpus...

If you are in corpus you can go almost to the naval station on ocean drive and fish at the Oso Bay bridge...it's well marked. Bottom is soft but wadeable along the A&M campus shoreline.

I know the areas and have fished them from boats and kayaks but he can't WADE there. You have to cross the intercoastal or the shrimp boat channel to get there. He was asking about wading spots from the bank.

If there is no weed there are a lot of big trout in the surf this time of year.

I waded Copano Bay and Indian Point this past weekend. Not much luck either place. The key is to find a bait stand where they have croakers. I had two croakers that were mixed in with the piggies I bought on Sunday and I caught trout on both of them. All the places I went to said they didn't have any croakers. Good luck. Post results after your trip.

Gotta get your croaker early. We normally hit them at 4am. After that the guides clean em out.

Thanks, Cosmic. I'll keep that in mind. Do most stands have them every day?
