    Powerstroke 7.3 help.....

Also take the plug off that IPR and see if it is wet with oil. If it is spray it out with some contact cleaner or staring fluid. When that IPR starts leaking it will cause a bad connection at that plug.

Edit: now I see cchildress already posted about the IPR.

I agree with the above statement.

BUT, I don't think there is any denying the durability of a 7.3psd.

I'd check the ICP and IPR sensors. They aren't cheap to replace though

True statements, I had a 2000 Suburban with a funny looking dash light that came on and I just put black tape over it. Never saw the light again.

I replaced the CPS today with a new oem from FORD and I still have the problem. I got a fuel filter today and will put it in here very shortly.

Does anyone know if the code readers that Oreillys uses will read the PSD?

I remember having to disconnect the fuel bowl heater on my '97. They can short out and cause problems. You don't need it, I drove mine for years with out it. Try it.

I did have to replace my IPR with this one: Part #800-427 from AutoZone. I seemed to recall issues similar to yours. Even if its not it, it would be money sell spent with over 200K on your stock one.
