I tried to recruit you this year to Team Hot Thangs/poppers/dessert/ etc!..
I brought a big pan of brownies and cookies for team dessert... But since I was so late on deciding to come I figured I better just leave it at that. I would love to join Team Hot Thangs next year and I will still bring some desserts

Hired!!.... ... And thank you for your dessert contributions this year. .
1. Apparently, you can drink apple and peach pie. It comes in a liquid form.
2. If the only day it rains in the Texas, it will be during the Bownanza.
3. King Cobra don't taste as good as it once did.
4. Everyone committed the sin of gluttony. I had to undue my britches on the drive home.
5. Crawfish will not let go of your finger until you slowly submerge it crawfish boil (Poco has the LDP).
That family & friends are irreplaceable & the love & appreciation for them all magnifies quite a bit when you have a situation away from home & feel helpless.
our Son got a stinger on the soccer field from such a blatant & egegious foul that sent him to the ER...we were told was a neck / spinal injury & left with that hagning for what seemed like an eternity. This got pinged 30mins out from meeting compadres for dinner & momma was ready to turn back after 500+ miles on the road!! If I can find out the #'s of the two players from PSJA who thought it was a rugby game, you WILL be getting cat facts for the rest fo your life.
Anyway, made several phone calls and everything turned out OK, but cannot say enough first and foremost for my Dad (redlief on tbh) and SIL for taking care of my boy. Second goes to some dr friends who dropped everything & were waiting for him at the ER & also to McAllen Bulldog School, coaches, principle & team mates. All played a hand & roll / interest / support in the situation...a well oild machine as Pop explained & he was right in hind sight. It was a good thing we were not ther to have seen it & would have had some words with the opposing coaches and refs more than likely.
Only light side to this was Dad gave the ambulance driver MY name as the patient instead of Kenny's wich I thought was funny...we haven't had a beer over it yet, but sure he was wound up as we were.

All in all this this bownanza had a very personal feel...I also made promisses to Rod & others that next year we WILL make time to visit as we've just had passing idle eye contact / minor chit chat for the past few years. It simply is a blurr & you have to force some time with those you want to catch up with. It's really the only regerets I have on my mind as we head home is all the good people I did not get know better.
I learned the Best western folks rock & are quite the champs for putting up with us!!
