Better man than me Buff. I would have been in jail.

On the lease money, have you talked to a probate attorney? I was thinking there was a way to lean against an estate before it is probated. Just a fleeing thought though

Oh young Grasshopper....so much to learn. And in a way, you are right...50% doesn't even cover my costs on a mount.

For the average Joe off the street (who I don't know or have never met), they will be giving a 50% deposit before I even cape out their head. I have let a lot of TBHers slide on that because I feel we all know (in one way or another) each other. Kevin is absolutely right in that I have to take money out of my pocket to pay for initial expenses when no deposit has been paid. For one or two deer, that's fine. When you do 200+ mounts a year, it's a different story. I have always planned ahead to cover myself on the number of mounts with no deposits that I allow. To find a reputable taxidermist who doesn't require 50% up front is probably a rare thing. I pride myself on good service, and that is a service I can allow for certain customers. And yes, it has bit me in the *** more than once. As far as Buff is concerned, he has a rather low image of taxidermists right now and I am trying to help change that. He has told me several stories and I can definately understand his point of view.
