What do you consider "good money"

Just sittin here wanting to start a Sunday conversation. I know we all come from different professions and jobs but, what do you consider a good living? How much money do you think makes a person wealthy?

I think to me good money means having at least a thousand dollars left a month after everything is paid including you're savings. Gas groceries and all. To me this is comfortable.

What do you think?

Depends on what you think you need and go into debt for. There have been a few threads on here about dave Ramsey programs and those who would rather have 100s of thousands in debt to have lots of fun and toys. My theory is a good livin is when I see it I can go buy it without cuttin to living life.

I'm considering going into the oilfield. What I went to school for hasn't exactly led me to a road of prosperity or even a permanent full time job. Got to see some big free ranging deer on the hoof though and was able to harvest my best buck ever. There are some perks to being involved in wildlife management/guiding, but it's a tough to find your way and even tougher if you refuse to work with pen deer (livestock in my opinion).

I make about 18K a year right now as a grad student. Thinking of 40k or 50k a year right now blows my mind but more money for most people just means more debt.

Its obviously personal opinions, I think anything over 100k per year is a great income for a family of 4 or less. I consider people wealthy when they have lots of stuff with no debt, and buy everything in cash. Hard to put a price tag on wealth though, rough guess would be at least a couple million hanging around. But true wealth is only found in the lord, and I would rather be wealthy within His word and presence than have more money here on our temporary home. Good post though, fun to think about, and hear different opinions.

This^^^ but I never ask anyways might be why I can't keep em around I bust my butt for a living don't really feel like I need to ask permission any way
