To the op. This is just my opinion. I have been hunting with skylar for two years now. Yes he has gone up in prices. He's not the highest nor the cheapest, but what you do get is. You can call him and request a animal he will go out and do his best to find it and bring it in for you. He will do his best to put you on this animal, and that includes going out after the morning hunt and finding that animal. Make a bad shot, and we all have done that. He does his best to find it for you. This is what the money is for the service. The animal is a bonus.

If your looking for a cheap hunt the diamond c is not the place. If your looking for a quality place then this is it

In two years I have taken a Nile lechwe, red stag, black buck, zebra, mouflon(silver) Corsican ram(gold) red deer doe, Crap no wonder I'm broke

how does the pricing work if you shoot multiple animals?

          say i hunted for 2 days- $500

          then i shot 3 pigs- $500

          and a black buck- $1500

          and an axis doe-$500

is the daily rate deducted from each trophy fee?

No, just 500$ off your total.

gotcha! thanks! don't sound too bad. i like the idea of running a tab and pay for whatcha shoot. gonna have to plan a trip!

never been a fan of pay first and then HOPE you see what you're huntin for. every hunt i ever went on that i had to pay first for a certain species, i NEVER saw what i was huntin for.

I will say, of everywhere I've ever hunted, the Diamond C is the best place I've been. Hand's down. Skylar is the hardest working guide I've ever seen and is a great guy to boot. I've had banner weekends there (7 animals in 4 days ) and short weekends (lost a 30+ inch oryx cuz i choked on the shot ) but I will always go back to Skylar's. Whether it's 0 degrees (yes, I hunted there when it was that cold) or 110 outside, he's always ready to go and he likes seeing his clients succeed and kill stuff. Yes, it's a long drive for me, but worth every minute and every dime.

I need to call Skylar and get a trip booked for me and the bro here shortly....I believe there's a zebra with my name on it.... Skylar, save me a spot!

We had a big group out there this past weekend and to say we had a lot of fun and did some killin is an understatement. Between the 7 that hunted we took 3 hogs, 1 Sika doe, 1 axis doe, and 3 rams.
