Diamond C question.

Since the Diamond C changed the pricing structure I have not seen many threads about them.

Has anyone been lately and how is the quality now with the new pricing structure.

If you've ever been to the "C", you'll know that the prices were relatively low then for what was available (new lodge and a hard working guide), now with the better quality animals, the price is reflecting that.

I've got a trip booked this summer already and will be booking another one for this coming winter.

The crossbow thing gets me. I'm disabled but hurt my shoulder I can't pull back a bow for the past 9 months. So I would have to pay an extra 100.

Was going to book a elk cow hunt but the new prices have set that back a little bit. $400 price increase kinda hurts.

Yes we did have to change are pricing. Unfortunately the Exotic market has gone through the roof!!! In order to keep the same quality and quantity of animals it's something that we had to do. I don't like it anymore then you guys do, and I'm sorry if I priced any you guys out of hunting with us.

We still have a lot of good animals at what I feel with the current market is still a great price.
Remember all day fees go towards your kill fee.

I haven't taken this off my website yet there is NO fee for crossbows

As others have said, for what you get (quality of animals, shot opportunities, amenities and of course a top notch guide in Skylar) the prices are very reasonable. I admit I'm a huge Diamond C fan so I'm not the most objective voice. I personally like that you don't have to commit to a higher priced "exotic buck" package up front. I can book a weekend hunt and get a nice doe but if in the pursuit of said doe a monster Axis, blackbuck, etc walks in I have the opportunity to take him and just pay the additional kill fee after the fact.

I have hunted there and love the folks at the C. Best time in the world and worth the little extra. Just my opinion of course

Seems alright to me, planning on an axis doe hunt this summer if anyone wants to get a group hunt together?
